What time of the day do you often feel you are more productive?

To me, I feel I'm more productive in the morning than in the afternoon. 

I don't usually eat breakfast (unless my BODY is really hungry then I eat fruits) after I tested that intermittent fasting really work for me so my first meal will be a fresh squeezed cold press juice around 11:30.  

When I overeat lunch, it is very obvious that I become less productive and it affects rest of my day at work. I feel dull and tired. I have less focus, I get destructed very easily. It is almost I have a fog in my brain.

I felt this really strongly at my 2nd/3rd 10-day Vipassana retreats. For the first 3days I was very sleepy and all I needed was to sleep. I disgusted with myself how unproductive I was at the retreat. I started to adjust the quantity of the meals there. I started to eat a few small pieces of fruits for breakfast and very tiny portion of meal for lunch. It was beautiful to feel that my brain started to be clearer and clearer. I felt calm energy throughout my body and my mind stayed quite equanimous. 

It's easier to try this experience on a retreat as the environment is set for RE-TREAT so bringing this mentality into the reality is a real challenge. 

That's is why I do fasting time to time. I feel unease and sometimes very anxious as eating is a quickest release gives us an instant pleasure when we have a stress and doing fasting when you are under stress at work might be unpleasant. Though the very next day, you will feel amazing. You will feel light with more energy and you will appreciate the first bite of your meal. You will need less food.

During the petit fasting, I often make a best out of it and sip some ginger/herbal tea, go for a 5 min walk or get massage for myself instead :)
