09/07/2018 Widening Awareness

We watched a documentary called Even when I fall last night. It is about human trafficking in Nepal and the situation there is very devastated. The basic needs such as  food shelter and clothing are not met and very young children were trafficked to India for  Indian circuses.

Before we started to watch the documentary, I was ordering a delivery for dinner but there seemed to have an issue with the delivery and it didn't arrive. I got upset and was not in a good mood until I solved the issue.

After watching the documentary, I felt deeply ashamed of myself complaining about such a small thing. How couldn't I be more humble and be okay with some negative things in my life? Were these things really important? Do I really want to waste my energy by bringing negative emotion to my present moment? Was really worth draining my energy for this?

It reminds of me of this video and I thought it's nice to watch it again to think and pause what really matters.

Thank you for spending your time to read this.
